These companies offer free headlines -
you paste the code into your page and they automatically update. They
are generally free hotlinks. They may also offer a paid version however,
that is more "sticky".
A note about "free" content:
Just about all of it is "advertorial". The writer may be
promoting a business, a hobby, their own career or a charitable cause.
It is often of relatively poor quality compared to paid content sources,
and you may have to post the item "verbatim" without the
ability to edit it for your site. You will also have to "hotlink"
to the writer's site in most cases. It's good to flesh out a site but
you'll spend a lot more time on it than you might if you hired a writer
to create the content for you.
